Former Congresswoman Barbara Lee Speaks on Cuba and Oakland

The former Congresswoman and Oakland mayoral candidate Barbara Lee talked about her work on behalf of Cuba. She talked about how she has been fighting the Cuban blockade actively in Congress since the Obama administration. She discussed how she convinced Biden to take Cuba off of The State Sponsors of Terrorism List, days before him leaving office. And how Marc Rubio under the Trump administration added Cuba back to the list, days after coming in office. Barbara Lee explained her commitment to the safety of immigrant families, in Oakland, after Trump has unleashed ICE on immigrant communities. We also got into a discussion on whether or not it is a contradiction for Black politicians to be pro-police when it comes to public safety in the Black community, and anti-ICE in the Brown and in immigrant community.
