BlockReportRadioWorld.com is an international platform dedicated to the resistance struggle and cultural empowerment of Black people in the US, and all around the Black world.
The founding producer of the radio show and this website is the People’s Minister of Information JR Valrey. 2025 marks his 30th year as a journalist. In 2023, Valrey was hired to be the Editor in Chief of The San Francisco Bay View Newspaper. After leaving that post in late ’23, Valrey began working with 89.5FM KPOO Radio, where he currently serves as an international reporter on issues dealing with countries like Haiti, Cuba, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Niger, Mali, the Congo, the Sudan, Israel, Yemen and BRICS to name a few.
MOI JR Valrey also reports nationally on issues like political prisoners, police terrorism and corruption, legal decisions affecting the Black community, the state of journalism, the Counter Intelligence Program, Operation Mockingbird, the CIA funding the crack epidemic, and more.
Interviews with cultural giants from around the world are featured on BlockReportRadioWorld.com because independent control over the media surrounding trendsetters in the community gives grassroots people the ability to empower artists that build the community, instead of us only being informed about the corporate artists that destroy the moral fiber, the socio-politico consciousness, and family structure in our communities.
The Block Report Radio show currently can be heard on terrestrial and internet radio on KPOO in San Francisco, on “What Good is a Song” on WRFG in Atlanta, on AllRealRadio.com in Houston, on “Capitalism, Race, and Democracy” on WBAI in New York City, WPFW in Washington DC, KPFK in Los Angeles, and KPFT in Houston.
The Minister of Information JR is currently working on two books consisting of his radio interview, that are due to drop in 2025. Stay tuned in.
